So if you know me, you probably know that I don't like to sit still and I set a lot of goals to max out this thing called life. For years, I've been saying I want to RUN a 5K. 2008 is my year!
As such, I am beginning the path to running a 5K by walking a 5K on April 6 on both the Boston and Cambridge sides of the Charles River for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. As they say:
"Walk for a friend. For someone in your family. For yourself. For all who are affected by sexual violence. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men will be sexually assaulted in their lifetimes. You can change the numbers by walking on April 6th. "
Sexual assault prevention work is a cause close to my heart and I know first hand from my experiences as a volunteer with the Sexual Assault Resource Agency in Charlottesville just how much of a difference this work makes in people's lives.
I would greatly appreciate any little bit of support that I could get on my road to running a 5K and for this great cause.

Road to Running a 5K!!
Sunday, March 2, 2008
Hi! from Boston :)
So, I have indeed picked up and moved to Boston. I'm having the time of my life and have not been this happy since I was a six year old rushing to the TV to watch Saturday morning cartoons. I'm going to start writing little blurbs here to update folks on my explorations around the city and life in general.
Here's some of the things I was in Boston to experience:
My Awesome Re-Bachelorette Party (thanks BAC gals!)
The BEST Valentine's Day Soiree EVER
The WORST New Year's EVER (Don't Ask, I Won't Tell!!)
Red Sox win World Series!
Pats lose the Super Bowl! (I'm still a Cowboys fan)
Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Culinary Delites Galour
Boston Aquarium
Nite Life in the Theater District v. Cambridge v. Boylston v. Faneuil Hall
My First Celtics Game
The BEST Birthday Celebration and Merriment EVER - 28 is Great!
So that's a tidbit of the stuff I'm going to start writing about. I probably won't go back and write about that stuff, but I probably will post up pics of those things on Facebook.
